Tom Schroeter - Yoga Path teacher

Tom Schroeter (YA)

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. - Confucious

Yoga is the gateway to new possibilities and introduced to the practice during injury rehab Tom experienced firsthand the benefits of yoga therapy, replacing biomedical pain management with plain pain elimination through yoga. While regaining full mobility of an injured limb was remarkable at the time, the physical healing aspects of yoga seem rudimentary in retrospect. With practice, yoga opens doorways to ever deepening levels of awareness, and becomes a guiding light on the journey of life. While the yoga path has led Tom to a teaching role, the revelation yoga offers keeps him a perpetual student of the practice on and off the mat.

A professional yoga teacher, Tom manages Yoga Path as well as teaching classes, individuals, corporate and community groups. Tom practices Vipassana Meditation. He is also an experienced retreat guide and yoga teacher with Australian Yoga Retreats.

Nicole Kelly (BKSIYAA)

Transformation is sustained change, and it is achieved through practice. - BKS Iyengar

The discovery of illuminating mental calm and focus rewarded Nicole's initial enquiry into yoga, extinguishing professional stress and unveiling her corporate role as an illusion. Here, beneath modern demands, was yoga, an open secret of how to access a deeper connection with the art of life.

Practicing the physical strength building elements of yoga revealed the benefits of improved posture, self discipline and inner clarity. Enlightened to the peaceful path of greater awareness, Nicole unshackled herself from long hours behind a desk, brewed chai and answered the inner call to walk the yoga path, qualify as a teacher in 2005.

Honoring the eight limbs of yoga is core to Nicole's role as teacher and guide, grounded in the foundation of regular practice on and off the mat. Nicole believes a deepened practice can open us to our full human potential and integrally connect us to the greater universe, the light guiding the yoga path.

Nicole Kelly, Principal of Yoga Path yoga school, is a professional yoga teacher who also teaches yoga and leads retreats for Australian Yoga Retreats.
